Four Four is non-exclusive creative representation to grow your career and manage the business of what you do, so you can do what you do.
Contract negotiation, fees, terms, rights of ownership and intellectual property, managing scope creep, getting paid.
Teaming you up with complementary artists to multiply your creativity and deliver top-shelf client projects.
For you to use to showcase your work to Four Four clients and your own.
As well as helping you get in front of great clients, we publish profiles and interviews in the FF Magazine and socials, pitch your work and your story to third-party publications, and submit your work for awards under your name, not Four Four.
A sounding board for your drafts and ideas before you present them to clients (because freelancing can be lonely!)
Depending on the project, we do everything from simply managing and negotiating the terms and scope of the contract, to curating a bespoke team for multi-disciplinary projects, to full-blown creative direction and project management.
We’re not a staffing agency or a burn-and-churn creative agency.
Your name is on every project, you have visibility into contracts and fees, and you choose what projects you want to take on.
Our goal is to get you in front of great clients and to support you to do your best work.
We do this by building a community of great clients and talented artists around you, and make sure you and your work is valued. We want you and your portfolio to get the recognition your talent deserves.
We get it — family / friends / roommates / life sometimes isn’t predictable.
We just ask you to keep us up-to-date on your availability and if there's a chance you might miss a deadline. We ask the same from clients too. If something changes on their side, we expect them to communicate so we can manage expectations on both sides.
Any non-Four Four client work on your Four Four portfolio page must be cleared in writing by the client and credited correctly. The last thing we want to do is upset your client because you’d most likely want to work with them again! We'll help you with the request language so they're clear about what you're asking.
We want the best clients over the long-term, so we expect you to put the time, effort, and craft into what you’re creating with them. Our clients have high standards and they can tell when artists phone it in, and it’s a fast way to damage a relationship. We have high standards so if you’re on the Four Four roster, it’s because of your talent and level of craft. Embrace it.
Freelancing can be lonely, and sometimes all you need to get rid of creative blocks is a short conversation with a creative sounding board. That’s what we’re here for! We’d rather spend 30 minutes workshopping something with you than have you spend 3 hours spinning your wheels with no progress.
We’re here to help you have a fulfilling, lucrative creative career. If there’s something you wish we’d do or do better, we want to know.
Want to interview an artist you admire, or review a show or event? Great! We’ll help facilitate, write, and edit it, and proudly put it in the FF Magazine, promote it on socials, and maybe submit it to third-party publications.
